Palogistics is a logistics system specifically designed to minimize the handling of pallets via a flexible operation of pallet management that simplifies the purchasing and supply process - cost effectively.
Wooden and plastic pallets are constantly in use throughout the many facets of British Industry with a total of around 120 million in general circulation, carrying, holding and transporting goods from manufacturers and supplies to their eventually users. Whilst being manufactured to individual specifications by the purchaser, there is often no control over the re-use, or re-sale of the original pallet further down the supply chain.
Palogistics brings together all the aspects involved in the control of the pallet use throughout the life of the pallet. Whirlowdale can help in all these areas from concept to disposal, be offering the following service:
- design / manufacture of new pallets;
- collection of used / redundant pallets;
- sorting pallets to original type groups;
- repairing those to be re-used;
- providing used pallets to customers throughout British industry;
- properly disposing of those, which cannot be re-used;
- tracking.

Surplus pallets in the supply chain
A professional team based at the Whirlowdale Group Head Office are dedicated to effective response for requests by distribution centers to remove surplus pallets. These are quickly put through a system of sorting where their value is assessed and reported back.
Our pallet distribution centres nationwide and our computer management and information systems will track and control the life of cycle of the pallets in specified loops.
