Cargo is carried on every flight operated by Solomon Airlines, both internationally and domestically. In excess of 700 tonnes of cargo is carried internationally per annum.
Solomon Airlines' cargo terminal is located adjacent to the International Passenger Terminal at Henderson Field. It has a cargo handling area of approximately 270 sq mtrs and office areas of 51 sq mtrs. Solomon Islands Customs Officers utilize office and inspection areas within the complex.
The Customs Bonded Warehouse of Solomon Airlines is one of the few maintained in the country. Agency representation, import break-bulk and export consolidation services are readily provided to the forwarding community together with excess baggage services to the travelling public.
All staff are fully trained in export and import procedures and hold current IATA Dangerous Goods Accreditation.
