The shipping rates are very good, probably better than most. However, dealing with them is more difficult than it should be. The website is poorly thought out, often ambiguous and doesn't always tell you what you need to know. If you have two credit cards with slight variations on your name you may find purchases held up and/or your account put on hold while they check it out (which may mean larger orders can't be placed). It all gets to be a bit of a pain after a while.
Their assisted purchase service is useful, but seems to take longer than it should to get the order placed, which doesn't work very well if you want to take advantage of a special offer. You may also find by the time they place the order a couple of days later that some of the items you want are out of stock.
Consolidation and repackaging is a nice feature in principle, and the service rates are fine, but it's risky. They badly screwed up my first consolidated package. They left out two of my items, included another item from someone else. Fortunately they remedied those issues at their expense.
However, they packed an unprotected clothing item against another item featuring sharp-pointed buttons (packaged in thin plastic). The package was packed very full, and the sharp points appear to have damaged the fabric on the unprotected item in transit. They claimed it must have been the eBay merchant's fault, despite the damage matching the sharp points - and the merchant having a stellar reputation and meticulous attention to detail, and reporting that it was undamaged when it was sent. I can't prove they caused the damage to their satisfaction - because only they know what condition the item was in when they received it. They refused to reimburse me or replace the damaged item.
Don't ask them to repack any item you can't afford to lose or replace - at your expense.

I am sorry for the problems with credit card payment, but have to be very careful due to the fraud with credit cards. That's why we review payments with discrepancies.
I am glad you noticed our low shipping rates. We really work very hard to offer the best possible deal to our customers. All savings on shipping are passed to customers.
Regarding the re-packing we give two options. Leave original packaging or remove everything to allow maximum savings. We are very careful to pack correctly.
Every customer can choose which packages to pack together and we can do it as they wish.

I have tried getting a package that Shipito.com has been holding for the past month. This is all because of a credit rating system on there website. to top it off I've submitted documents, and even mailed certified copies of proof that this is my credit card and that I am a legitimate company owner, and all I've recieved is a mere 71% rating. This still does not qualify me for my parcel to be mailed out to me.... I apparently need 100%. I've paid money to this company, Idone everything in my power.

You don't need 100% verification to send package. If your account is new then you might need to pay by wire transfer or prove (verify) that you are the true holder of the account/credit card. That is what the verification is for.

I’ve just had a useless and a very frustrating experience with shipito. I live in Russia and have my 14 year old kid in Swiss boarding school. I was trying to buy a soccer shoes for my son and have them mailed to him to Swiss. I opened an account with shipito and I put in the account the address of my son. Initial payment was made by my credit card. They told me by an e-mail that my account was activated and I can use it. There was not a word in the e-mail that I did something wrong.
I bought the shoes and my package arrived to shipito. I’ve paid a postage fee for its delivery to Swiss. Nothing seemed to be wrong. Then in 5 days I noticed that my package is still in spipito warehouse. I sent them an inquiry and they answered that they didn’t allowed a 3rd party payment because they are afraid of fraud. They also told me that to do something with my package I now need to send them copies of 2 of my different IDs, copies of my bills plus to fill out some forms. The problem is I am afraid of frauds as well. There are many ways dishonest person can make a fraud using your personal information such as IDs copies, bills. For example I know a story when a swindler got a big credit in a bank using stolen copies of IDs and some bribes. I am absolutely sure it is not safe to upload such info. So I refused.

In response to Alexander's review, I can add that it seems that shipito.com is interested in delays (more fees to them) and makes me wonder if their offer "to trash is for free" is nothing but a free gift to themselves. Hey, I like to open a business like that too!
Gee, how much fraud can be done in the name of fighting fraud!!!

One of my clients used Shipito.com for several years, and paid for extra insurance on the packages. 2 packages never arrived (shipped May 2009) and Shipito had the nerve to incorrectly quote Ukrainian law (the destination) to justify their denial of his insurance claim. The law states that you must have an import certificate for a cell phone if there are MORE THAN TWO in the package. The law also CLEARLY states that no import certificate is required for 2 or less phones in a package. There was one in each package. He's still fighting with them on these two claims.
In the mean time he had problems with two other shipments through shipito. One arrived with rocks in it, instead of a cell phone and the other arrived with a cheap plastic case for a cheap cell phone, instead of the expensive cell phone he bought. Needless to say, he's not using them anymore, and he's still fighting with them to settle the insurance claims. Seems to me their "insurance" may also be a scam. The phones were in the US and Shipito shipped FROM the US. what do they care what Ukrainian law says. Seems like an excuse not to pay. My client is out $1,250 USD (Cost of good, shipping, insurance). EMS Ukraine, the local "agent" for Shipito has advised my client they have had many of the same complaints from customers (almost 100) in the last couple of years.

I am a user Shipito almost two years, I can give my testimony that the Shipito always acted in an exemplary manner not causing me any problems, has excellent prices and freight rates are also good, the air mail shipping available only in Shipito makes its use very advantageous over other logistics companies, I have a site in Brazil, on the subject in which international purchases make available several articles on Shipito and other companies in this area.
