All our vessels operated are capable of carrying containerized and breakbulk cargoes. The majority of cargo carried is containerized and we have a range of containers in our fleet giving us the flexibility to carry diverse cargo mix moving in the Southern and Central Pacific regions.

Australia to/from the Pacific Islands
PFL offers a two vessel service between Australia and the Pacific Islands. The two sister ships are the Captaine Tasman II and the Forum Samoa II. One of these vessels departs Australia every 14 days. These vessels call Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in Australia and then Lautoka, Suva, Apia, Pago Pago, Nuku’alofa, Suva, Lautoka and then Australia again.

New Zealand to/from Pacific Islands
PFL operate two vessels from New Zealand to the Pacific Islands. The Forum Fiji calls at Lyttelton, Napier and Auckland in New Zealand and then on to Lautoka, Suva, Apia, Pago Pago, Nuku'alofa and then back to Lyttelton again. This vessel departs New Zealand every 21 days. The second vessel the Forum Rarotonga calls Auckland only in New Zealand and then goes on to Nuku'alofa, Pago Pago, Apia, Rarotonga and then back to Auckland. This vessel also departs New Zealand every 21 days on a Thursday.

New Zealand to/from Papua New Guinea
Four vessels with a weekly fixed day sailing from New Zealand. The vessels call at the New Zealand ports of Tauranga, Napier, Nelson (Auckland cargo is centralized to Tauranga and South Island cargo to Nelson for loading at PFL’s cost). These vessels then call through Australia and on to Port Moresby and Lae. Direct services are also offered to the ports of Madang, Kimbe, Lihir and Rabaul.

Inter-Island Cargo
There are four vessels providing services between the various Pacific Islands we service. These are the two NZ trade vessels and the two Australian trade vessels. Between the two services PFL are able to offer trading links between Fiji, Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga and Rarotonga.

LCL Services
PFL Cargo is a separate operating division of PFL based in New Zealand. PFL Cargo offers a full range of LCL (less than container load) and freight forwarding services including consolidation of cargo in to containers. They are also able to assist with FCL (full container load) shipments and a full range of door to door and documentation services.
