Packing and crating services
All furniture items are wrapped in our three tier bubble wrap. China, glassware and ornaments are wrapped in a combination of white paper and acid free tissue then packed into double layered cartons. Some items are just too fragile to be packed in cartons. In these instances our carpenter will measure and then specifically make a wooden crate to house the goods in to ensure safe transit. We have a variety of carton sizes including, tea chest, dish packs, book cartons, flat packs for clothing and hanging wardrobes for suits and dresses.

Storage services
At Overseas Packers & Shippers we provide storage modules in our modern and security monitored warehouse. As well as our own storage facilities, we can also store your effects in facilities around the world. We will pack, collect and store your possessions, taking care of them until required. Our warehouse is customs and quarantine bonded and security protected by state of the art fire and burglar alarm systems.

Pet transportation services when moving overseas:
- we will advise you on preparing your pet for travel;
- advise on protocols laid down by the country of destination;
- provide container based on size requirements;
- arrange flights based on time, transits and other factors, i.e. aircraft type, your individual needs;
- collect your pets, arrange boarding if required and lodge for the flight;
- our agents may customs clear and delivery your pet to your door.

I moved from Cape Town to Brisbane in September 2011. My container was delivered to my property on 29 October 2011. The quotation was comprehensive and included the packing, freighting and unpacking of my belongings. On arrival to my house in Brisbane, the two delivery men unloaded all of our items, unwrapped all the big furniture items and placed them where we requested. Then they informed us they were leaving with all of our boxes still sealed! When I told them that the unpacking of our boxes was included in our contract, they insisted that they did not do that because they could only unpack onto flat surfaces for insurance reasons. There were plenty of flat surfaces to choose from in a 5 bedroom house. Not one box of ours was unpacked by them. When I enquired about what I would do with the empty boxes once I had unpacked them, (the removal of which was also part of the quotation) they said I could call the office and they would collect the boxes. Two months have now passed since my phone call and the empty boxes remain uncollected in my garage (I managed to pass on the bulk to someone who was moving). I have taken this up with the removal company I originally contracted in Cape Town and the response from the employees at Overseas Packers & Shippers has been that I requested some boxes be left for me to unpack! Really? ALL of my boxes? Then why would I have paid UPFRONT for the unpacking of them? This is what has prompted me to write this review: I am outraged that their employees have lied in saying that I requested boxes not be unpacked when just the opposite is true. I had hoped that their refusal to unpack was due to their being new employees and not understanding the terms of the contract but as they have outright lied about what happened, I now think it's simply a case of employees slacking off and now not owning up to it. Feeling ripped off.

Yesterday I informed Overseas Packers & Shippers of my recent review on this site and within a couple of hours they contacted me by phone to arrange arrange collection of the empty boxes which have been in my garage for two months. Two friendly men arrived promptly today to collect them and as an added bonus offered to also take away some other empty boxes we had in the garage, which we gratefully accepted. I like to think that if these two employees had delivered our container when we arrived, my review would have been quite favourable ( because they would probably have done their jobs and unpacked the boxes). I would still appreciate acknowledgement of my complaint about none of my boxes being opened because the employees who delivered our goods refused.
