With the old team of around 35 staff at the new Hamburg office spaces Orion today operates a very young fleet of 23 high specification bulk carriers that range in size between 13.350 dwt and 82.000 dwt.

The fleet's total deadweight capacity amounts to 1.070.641 tons. The average ship's age is less than three years.

About 7.8 million tons of cargo was carried in 2005. Traditionally the fleet is employed in the world-wide tramp trade and transports mainly grain, coal, iron ore, fertilizers and all kinds of steel cargoes.
