Dry cargoes are handled by the company's Moran Dry Bulk Carriers division which operates a fleet of 8 ocean going barges with an aggregate lifting capacity of 135,000 dwt and twelve inland hopper
barges with an average size of 4,000 dwt.

Transportation of liquid cargoes, including petroleum products is provided by Moran's Tank Barge Subsidiary which operates 12 tank barges along the East and Gulf coasts of the United States. As of the end of 2006 Moran's entire petroleum fleet will be double hulled. Moran Tank Barge's clients include major oil companies, independent refiners, electric generating companies, and other industrial and commercial concerns.

Moran also provides worldwide marine transportation services, including regular operations in the Caribbean and periodic voyages to South America and other regions.
