Direct carriage of import-export cargoes by our ships in multimodal “river-sea” mode is an efficient, reliable and thrifty method of delivery.

Carriage is effected by dry-cargo carriers of the "Sormovskiy", "Omskiy", "Ladoga" and "Volgo-Balt" type cargo ships. These ships are used on both inland waterways and on the high seas. Thanks to their small size and low draft, they can call at the majority of ports. To protect grain and other unsecured cargoes from water and to ensure their safe delivery the ships are designed with a double bottom and double sides.

Vast holds without girders and stations ensure unrestrained in-hold cargo handling operations and the carriage of bulk and generals cargoes, including outsized and heavy equipment. Shifting boards are no longer required for grain delivery. Cargo holds which account for 85 % of the total deck area, are another important feature of a “river-sea” ship architecture. It ensures a massive use of stevedore equipment, and thereby cuts down considerably the berthing time.

Direct cargo carriage by means of “river-sea” ships is effected between the Russian, Ukrainian sea and river ports and the ports in Western and Eastern Europe, Northern Africa, Middle East and Iran. Vessels are able to trade the Black sea, Sea of Azov, the Mediterranean Sea, the Caspian Sea, the Baltic Sea, the White Sea, the North Sea and the Sea of Marmora.
