Norgas Carriers AS (Norgas) is an integrated shipping company involved in the transport of petrochemical gases and LPG. A fleet of 18 gas vessels (5000-10 000 cbm) are operated world wide. I.M. Skaugen China activities
The I.M. Skaugen Group has been active in China since 1995.
Located in Shanghai, the Group has since entered into joint ventures for river transportation of LPG and a training center to train seafarers in handling dangerous cargoes.
In addition, the Group has undertaken extensive dry docking of its vessels in Chinese shipyards, employed Chinese seafarers on its vessels, provided support to its vessels operating in the Asian region, and most recently contracted to build 6 ethylene carriers in China (with 4 more options to be declared) - the most modern of their kind in the world.
