The company is accounting for approximately 37% of the total U.S. marine container shipments between the continental U.S. and the three non-contiguous Jones Act markets of Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, and to Guam.

Two sailings per week to Anchorage and Kodiak and weekly, fixed-day service to Dutch Harbor provide the most comprehensive service to the Alaska market to meet your shipping needs. An extensive truck and barge service connects Anchorage, Dutch Harbor and Kodiak with surrounding points including Akutan, Bristol Bay, the Pribilof Islands, King Cove, Sand Point, the Kenai Peninsula, Prudhoe Bay, Eagle River, Fairbanks and Palmer.
Horizon Lines has an efficient intermodal network to provide links between Alaska and thousands of points in the lower 48 states, Canada and Mexico.

Horizon Lines exclusively operates a terminal facility at Pier 51A at Sand Island.
Horizon Lines offers three weekly fixed-day direct sailings to Honolulu with continuing service to five Neighbor Islands. Services include:
- The Trans-Pacific (TP1) Service consisting of five vessels that rotate between Tacoma, Oakland and Honolulu with extended service to Guam.
- The California-Hawaii Express (CHX) Service consisting of two dedicated vessels on a direct, round-trip service between Oakland, Los Angeles and Honolulu.
- In addition to the CHX, Horizon Lines provides return service from Honolulu to the West Coast on the Pacific Northwest Express offering a weekly fixed-day direct sailing to Tacoma.
- The Midweek Express (MWX) Service offers a weekly fixed day direct sailing from Los Angeles to Honolulu.
- Neighbor Island barge service is conveniently provided on a through bill of lading on a regularly scheduled basis to and from Honolulu.

Our Jacksonville Express service (JAX) provides the fastest northbound transit from San Juan. JAX service cargo is available in Jacksonville on Monday mornings; tailored to make intermodal connections to U.S. Southeast and Mid-West points.
