These guys are horrible. Nothing was ever delivered on time nor did they return ours calls. We used them to ship merchandise to clients and it took over 1 month to arrive.
I will NEVER use them again and i urge potential customers to RUN!

I rarely get so annoyed with a combination of companies that I feel the need to gripe, yelp, and scream about it.
To CSN and Home Direct... just because you retroactively revise an "estimated shipping date" doesn't mean you are shipping on time. I ordered my couches on 5/8. It is now 6/22 and I see Home Direct has happily revised the estimated pickup date to 6/12 and named the actual pickup date 6/12. How efficient of them!

These are the unfortunate people who are shipping an item I bought from a website. Apparently it takes four days to pick up items within the same city and two days to reload items within the same place.
The very last day of the "estimated shipping two week timeline" has arrived and still no furniture.

(To Overstock.com re: Home Direct USA shipping) I would just like to mention that I previously ordered a CA King platform bed from a company in CA that used Home Direct as the shipper. It arrived yesterday after waiting 1 month with delayed delivery. It was supposed to arrive a week prior. It was first picked up from the vendor and then warehoused in Santa Fe, Ca, for 6 days before it shipped, and came to me via a drop in Atlanta, GA, load, and drop in Columbia, SC, where it was scheduled for home delivery with me, and then re-loaded to come to my home near Myrtle Beach. When it arrived, the boxes were TRASHED. Did I say "TRASHED"? The boxes were broken, open, and visible damage was seen to the wood components of the bed. Did I say TRASHED? The delivery driver noted that on his paperwork it indicated that it was received in Columbia, SC, as "Damaged, and broken boxes". My waybill number was ZEExxx.
The load was refused, and never even got off the truck. I would also like to say that the bed I refused delivery on was a few hundred dollars more than the one I purchased from you (Overstock). Well, it so happens that today, I took delivery on the mattress I ordered for the bed. It looks GREAT on my master bedroom floor. Simmons did a great job, by the way! I'm wondering if Home Direct will do a better job this time with the replacement bed I ordered from you?? I did discuss this with an Overstock.com rep on chat (Joel), and he said this could come out of any of a dozen or more warehouses across the country. Would it be an imposition to see if one could come from the nearest warehouse to me? I figure the fewer drops and loads, the fewer 800 pound gorillas there will be to abuse my merchandise. Did I mention my waybill number was ZEExxx? Home Direct is a disgrace. They apparently take "drop" and load literally. "White Glove" my rosey red. Even the delivery at the house was like the driver's just wanted to get out of there as soon as they could. Given the condition of the merchandise, I guess I could hardly blame them. They were obviously embarrassed.
Now I wait up to 6 weeks again to see if this is another exercise in futility. I will be more than livid if this is messed up. The only reason I bought this is my previous experience with Overstock.com. I hope Home Direct doesn't ruin a good relationship as I am certain they have for others. However, I've done a lot of business with Overstock.com, and I am certain they will make things right on their end. In this economy, at least they seem to value their jobs and their customers. I guess if one worked in a dingy warehouse for minimum wage they really wouldn't give a rat's behind about anyone's merchandise and feel safe the damage they cause can't be traced back to them.
There is nothing "Direct" about Home Direct USA, except that most likely than not, your order will go "direct"ly back where it came from. I got a no questions asked refund. Not an element of surprise when I told the vendor what had transpired.
I will post on my upcoming experience. I will not be afraid to say you did a good job if you perform the way you advertise. So, go ahead and post my name and my email address without my permission. That doesn't intimidate me. People should know about your carelessness.

HomeDirect USA could possibly be the worst freight shipping company in America. Forget all their claims that they're superior, or #1, for large items. No way!
I ordered a washer/dryer from Number1 Appliance & paid $$ for the "White Glove" delivery service. I must be a fool for thinking this would mean my order would be treated in a professional expedited manner. The "Average Delivery Time" is listed at 11-days. I'm on day-30 & there is no end in sight.
HomeDirect USA provides ZERO status updates & customer service just reads off the info on the waybill. California is a pretty large state, I think, but HomeDirect doesn't think so. There's only ONE DAY EACH WEEK where they send orders out to CA. So, if it arrives on Tuesday the appliance sits for 6 days until next Monday!

Another complaint about CSN Sofas and Home Direct. The most fault lies with Home Direct. However, since CSN continues to do business with Home Direct, despite all the known complaints, then CSN is just as liable.
We waited 6 weeks--to which we agreed--on a loveseat to be shipped from CSN. After it was finally shipped via Home Direct, the problems began. Home Direct called us on a Monday morning and was rude right from the start. They gave us a tiny 2-hour window for delivery on a Thursday afternoon--a time when we had a prior obligation that we had paid for and could not change. We told them that. They said they wouldn't deliver to our area again for another 2 weeks. Reluctantly, we told them that we would just have to try again in 2 weeks. Imagine our surprise when they apparently tried to force the delivery on us that Thursday. Of course, no one was available--as we had already told them. Now they are insisting that the customer must pay an additional $50 fee for re-delivery! We could see this if we had agreed to be available and then just weren't at home. However, they were plainly told we would NOT be available...and they just figured they'd force us into it. So, no, we are not going to pay a $50 re-delivery fee. However, CSN is saying we HAVE to take delivery. Otherwise, it will be as if we refused delivery and we will be charged outbound and inbound shipping charges...not likely! I am pretty sure we are just going to dispute this charge with our credit card company and be done with it.

Ordered a desk over 1 month ago. First desk was damaged and the apparent "white glove" delivery meant plopping it in the middle of our driveway on a drizzly day and driving off as quickly as can possibly be done. Just checked the waybill for the second desk. It has been sitting in a warehouse for several days now. I have sent several emails to Home Direct USA's "customer service" email address with absolutely no response whatsoever. I suspect that no actual people work in this department at all. This company does not even pretend to care about their customers. Why CSN chooses to contract with this "company" is way beyond comprehension.

It's worst company i have ever seen. I keep calling them from last 3 weeks to know the status of my furniture delivery . They have no proper answer for me . Sometime they say they will transfer call but it get disconnected . I really get irritated with them. God knows when i will get my furniture delivered.
Satya
It's an O.K. service i had received on my mattress delivery from Overstock.com. The delivery was on time. As i said, i am not extremely satisfied but i have received what i wanted and the way I wanted.

This seems to be a business that needs to be put out of business!! I ordered a bed from Sam's Club August 19, today it is Sept 8th. No bed, No calls to deliver, cannot seem to get a straight answer from them as to when it will be delivered! Absolutely horrible service! Any vendor using them should find another transportation service!

I must disagree with most of these reviews. My experience was excellent. I ordered a 47" LG from Amazon with an ETA of Oct. 19 (today). Home Direct phoned me last week and promised it by 3:30 p.m. It arrived in perfect condition at 12:45 p.m. The workers unpacked it and tested to make sure it was working and were gone in about 15 minutes.

I don't ever write reviews, but after my experience with this company, I hope it'll save someone from the same mistake I made! There customer service is totally unexceptable! I ordered a table and chairs a month ago and still do not have it after calling a pleading for over a week! Thanksgiving is in 3 days and I am still unable to get any sort of conformation that I will have my dining room set here by then. The customer service is terrible! I can not even get my mind around how this company stays in business and why any reputable company would want to do business with them! I am shocked that I have paid for something that has been sitting in a wharehouse for 2 weeks and there is no concern or care to get it to me! I will never again be doing business with anyone who uses this company - I have learned the hard way!
Betsy
Hasn't even left the IN center in 6 days even though they showed a departure scan. They only deliver to Maine 1 day a week - ludicrous for a 'professional' company. Can't even tell me the time of day for delivery so I have to take whole day off to wait. Unprofessional to the nth degree. If customers could see who would be doing the shipping, Home Direct would be a disincentive to buy.
Greg
A Nightmare!!!
Horrible service, not giving you any opportunity to coordinate the time of delivery. Always hard to get in touch, never on time. Expect problems and inconsistency
Matt
Do not except your item on time. Also, do not expect even marginally good customer service.
I ordered a 55" TV from online shop on March 6th with a delivery date of March 16th.
Found our my TV arrived in CT on Match 11th, but couldn't arrived at my home until the 19th because I was out of the 50 mi radius (I was 57mi)
Every time I spoke to customer service I was treated with disrespect. I will never do business with this company again.
Stephanie
First, Home Direct USA is a middle-man shipper. They are contracted by whomever you purchase your item from to deliver the item to the company who actually delivers it to your residence. I purchased my item on 2/28/11 and the item was picked up by HomeDirect within two days. After that I kept track, and it went from CA to IN within one week. No, they're tracking isn't ideal, but it at least gives you updates. Once in Indiana, I called HomeDirect to see where my item was, as it was now the ETA on the tracking report. The lady was very kind and told me that it is on it's way to the distribution center, and my tracking would be updated once they had the item.
This was yesterday. Today, I received a call from Protege stating my item would be here within five days.
This review is solely for HomeDirect, and they treated me fantastic, and the shipping for such a large sectional was not unreasonable. The original ETA was 2-6 weeks. Monday will be the third week marker, and that is when I have a scheduled delivery date.
Kristina
Home Direct is simply horrible. We ordered a treadmill which was shipped to the wrong distribution center and then sat there from 5/9 until 6/2. The item was suppose to be delivered by 5/24 at the latest. When I still had not heard from them on 5/23 I called. Customer support was friendly but I was originally promised a call back and didn't get it. Then I was promised expedited service and two different delivery dates after two more calls to them. I am currently still waiting for my treadmill which, according to the tracking page, has been loaded onto a truck 4 days ago. The incorrect distribution center is only 5 hours at the most from my home.
Lisa
This is the 4th week I'm in waiting for the couch I ordered from JustGreatFurniture.com. HomeDirect just lists a range of dates so wide to expect delivery that you have NO idea when it's coming. I have no idea if it's actually even been picked up from the warehouse yet. I am so disgusted and regret ordering a couch online. I will never do this again.
Daniel
This is the second week I have been waiting on a shipment that I ordered from AAFES Exchange Website. mailed AAFES and when they checked with this ridiculous company, they told AAFES that they had been trying to make contact with me for delivery. I have my phone with me 24/7 and no one from this company has tried to make contact with me. These people are horrible.
j kramer
avoid at all costs. delivery dates are meaningless. they are incapable of calculating a delivery date. you have to wait until it leaves to find out when it will leave, then you have to wait until it arrives in Indiana to find out how long that trip takes. then you have to wait until it actually leaves Indiana to find out it has left - they cannot schedule or give any dates ahead of time. customer service extremely annoyed at being asked for any dates and think this is the best process in the world. they have no understanding of real world conditions, as in trying to plan for what happens after your item is delivered and therefore you need a real date.

I ordered an outdoor table and chairs 6/28/11. Received confirmation that they received the order 7/2/11. Projected delivery date was 7/25/11 to 8/17/11. Quite a window. Supposedly the order was to be picked up right away, but it was not actually picked up until 8/1/11. I called the company Home DirectUSA who went through (Fidelitone) only to discover they received my order 8/8/11. It is now 8/15/11. I have called Home Direct USA and Fidelitone and they still do not have a delivery date confirmed. I have even given them the names of companies that deliver in my area along with phone numbers (northern Washington State). It appears to me that Home Direct, USA only ships when they have lots of orders going one direction. So if no one in your area is needing shipment your stuff sits in the warehouse. I am just praying that my stuff arrives without damage soon since the summer is almost over.
Paul Hippensteel
we NEVER ordered anything from a homedirectusa client. But they keep calling (3 times so far) to make a delivery of a bed ordered by a person we don't know. Right now I'm on hold on their phone line waiting to tell them, for the THIRD time to remove our unlisted phone # from their database!
Belinda Butler
Horrible company. Picked up my bed in NC on 11/10 and held at warehouse 4 hours from my home until 11/14. Driven to GA. Tells me it takes two days to go to Atlanta. I grew up in ATL. It takes 10 hours driving regular speed limit truck or no truck! From Atlanta, it will come BACK to NC to delivering company 2 hours from my home. Doubtful to get in time for Thanksgiving. Ordered bed so family would have something to sleep on!!!!
Main gripe is that I was told on 11/11 it would be driven by truck from first NC location to delivering company which was only 3 hours away. Then on 11/14 information changed. Going to ATL. Last night then told it was then going to FL. On phone right now with supervisor who tells me it is not going to FL but to ATL and then back to NC. RIDICULOUS!!!
Susanna Ross
Anyone ever going to pick up the phone? HomeDircect states their hours are from 7:30 am-6:30 pm CT, however, everytime I call I get put on hold and no one ever answers. Where is my furniture? It's in limbo and no one to explain to me when I will receive it. And FORGET about finding anything on their website other than tracking info. So incredibly disappointed in this whole ordering process. NEVER again!
Amber Martin
Horrible customer service I have ever dealt with! When my item came to the warehouse in the city I live in (not to mention a full 30 days of waiting) I called to make an appointment to have my item delivered. I also told the representative that i changed my phone number and gave her the new one so when they call to drop off my order ill be home. WELL, the phone number never got changed and I missed the delivery. I called the number they gave me six times when I got home! No answer but a voice mail box that seemed like a cell phone number. Not to mention it was 3:30 in the afternoon! No answer back after leaving several messages. I finally had to call the company back and they finally got in touch with her. The delivery date was pushed back a week. I will say that the item arrived in perfect condition, thats the only thing that I will praise them about.
Monique Allaire
HomeDirect USA has been, without a doubt, the worst shipping experience I have ever gone through. In fact, my 250 pound treadmill is still "unavailable" since it was erroneously shipped to another state and sat there for 1 week without anyone contacting me (even though my phone number is listed right on the slip). Not only is it exceeding the estimated delivery timing by 2 weeks, no one ever answers the phone there. I sat on hold for 3 hours yesterday (while working) listening to terrible music on the Customer Service line, since that is the only line available. When I tried to get a live person, in Sales finally, they refused to help me and told me to just keep calling. If a package is ever listed as shipping through this vendor again, I will absolutely not order it and will go through a different seller. If I were you, I'd think twice and go elsewhere with your business.

I do not write reviews online usually but this one is an exception. Home Direct USA is the WORST SHIPPING COMPANY EVER!!!!
I ordered a bed to be delivered last Saturday. I was waiting for them outside after they called. They told me they could not find a place to park and the mattress had to be redelivered!! I was extremely upset when they told me that they will charge a 50 reattempt fee and an 85 dollar fee for coming on the time we want. I refused to pay the fees and was able to waive it. My mattress hasn't arrive yet. But this was such an inconvenience and major headache to deal with!
James S
I will never use them again. If you have a complaint about something damage, they do not care in the least. I got more of a response from my dog. I think that their plan is to give you the run around until you can't stand it anymore and decide Life still worth living and stop calling. That is only if they decide to grace you with someone who will actually answer the customer service line.
Sharon
This company is the worst delivery company I have ever seen. They lost product, incorrectly billed over half the orders, were rude to my clients and took over 6 weeks to deliver some items. I would rather drive across country myself and get the items!
