Transport
The Transport Department has been the subject of an on-going investment programme and now runs a modern fleet of 45 tractor units and 100 trailers. Whilst supporting the Group's port-related activities, the Transport Department has consistently developed to become a major operator in the distribution of locally manufactured products throughout the UK. In its day to day operation, the Transport Department collects and/or delivers everything from "minimums" to full loads.

Warehousing
The Warehousing Department is based at Global's Stallingborough site, between Immingham and Grimsby, within 1 mile of the M180 North Lincolnshire Motorway.
Facilities available include 250,000 ft² (23,225m²) of covered storage and 17 acres (6.87 Hectares) of open storage. The site is divided into a number of separate units allowing secure, quality storage of a wide range of goods.
Commodities vary from humidity controlled bagged sugar through to packaged plastics, paper, pulp, fertiliser, chemicals, motor vehicles and numerous other products, both locally manufactured and handled via the Ports.

Ancillary services
In addition to its mainstream activities of stevedoring, warehousing and transport, Global offers a range of ancillary services which include packaging of bulk products, processing, screening and silo storage of specialised commodities, rail loading and receipt of goods from its own rail terminal at the Stallingborough site, and a full range of shipping and Customs documentation services.
