Fly-by-night outfit that do not give you a specific date for picking up. Subcontract subcontractors who subcontract. They never picked up my move and kept a $1700 deposit. BEWARE!!!

Horrible. Cannot rely on these people. Pre-move preparation not serious, actual packing and paperwork completely sub-contracted. Not worth the price. On top of that they do not even have an actual office in the USA, so BBB cannot challenge them.
Do not use them if you want even minimum service.

Horrible.
They are terrible. They did not pay the subcontractor in Texas and now he holds some of my stuff for $3500.00 and the subcontractor in Manila wants 800.00 and the forwarder wants $1700.00 and Global did not do the paperwork properly on my car and the foreign govt has seized my 2001 Cadillac for $13,000.00 in penalty and fees plus I cannot get my original title back from them. So I do not have my most expensitive items, out money to customs and the forwarder, stuff broken, stuff not delivered and my car is seized by the foreign govt and they will not return it --they want money or the car. Global will not respond to emails or faxes or phone messages from me or the 3 subcontractors. BE AWARE AND BE AFRAID. I am screwed it appears. I paid them in full and did everyhting I was suppose to do...and now ....I am screwed,,,apparently. BE Afraid of these people.

I hired the services of these people, and it resulted a big diservice for many, many items of my household belongings got destroyed, broken or damaged, including a suv: and yes they delivered, but not as promised.
First, we contracted for a door to door service which was not even close, in fact the opposite was true. 2nd. The household items got to the other location more than three months later. 3rd. They charged US$750 for insurance coverage which they never processed. 4th. We had to go to the destination port 5 to 7 times, and not only that but on top of the US$6.690.00 we had paid them for the service, we paid locally close to US$3,000.00 to get our stuff out .
At Global Direct Shipping irresponsibility is their main function; they are the MAXIMAL EXPRESSION of a corrupt business in the whole world. I give them a -0(3) qualification.

GDS lost my computer and would not respond my email inquary.

Donot ask them to move your expensive goods because GDS is not a responsible mover.

This company duped me of $7000 and I had to pay $3500 to get my household items released from their "subcontractor". If anyone knows their physical address please email same to me and oblige. They are a mafia in the disguise of a mover

Their customer service is appalling. I paid for a full door to door shipment of goods from Chicago to London. I had no initial pickup and then my goods went missing. I never had any help from GDS and no refund. I eventually tracked down my shipment and 8 months later have had to re-pay for this delivery. They don't care. No apology, no communication, no refund. Avoid this company like the plague!
