Gateway Terminal offers an independent stevedoring labor force. We have the ability to offer one port throughput and move cargo from door to door.

Trucking
We own and operate every type of truck needed to move every commodity we handle on and off dock from a tri-axle dumpbed to insulated 7,000 gallon tankers.

Intermodal
Gateway Terminal operates the only true intermodal yard in the state of Connecticut.

Our stevedores are professionally trained, experienced, and skilled in handling any bulk or break bulk commodity that comes across our facility. Listed below are a few of the commodities we handle:

- cobble stone;
- heavy machinery;
- iron ore;
- liquid petroleum;
- lumber;
- pumice;
- salt;
- sand;
- scrap metal;
- specialty cargoes;

Gateway Towing owns and operates a fleet of fifteen tugs and barges. Our barges range from 1,000 ton to 11,400 ton capacity which enables Gateway to transport cargoes to all ports from Maine to Texas to Puerto Rico.
Our tug fleet consists of four ocean going vessels and two harbor tugs ranging from 2,000 HP to 4,600 HP.
