Conventional cargo
Fastship UK are experts in the transport, shipping and handling of goods unsuitable for containerisation.
We provide a complete conventional shipping service:
- transport from ex works to docks by road, rail, barge, feeder vessel;
- dock reception and pre-shipment storage;
- stevedoring at load port, dunnaging rigging;
- freight to destination;
- discharging operations;
- delivery to inland destination;
- superintendence at port of loading and discharge.

Ro-Ro
Where roro operations are not viable, cars, trucks and trailers can almost always be shipped by some form of container or flatrack or conventional means if available.
Fastship have extensive experience of roro operations including development of new services to East Africa and West Coast South America.
Containers are known to provide efficient shipping units for 'in gauge' and normal goods.
Fastship UK undertakes all container operations including on site container loading, lashing and securing, collection from and delivery to sites around the world.

Chartering
Fastship UK Ltd regularly charter specialised vessels as projects require. Provision of stevedoring, lashing and rigging services are also provided by Fastship UK Ltd.

Road, rail and barge
Abnormal load movements from UK to / from Europe will often move by road door to door because of the avoidance of handling at the ports. Deliveries deep into Eastern Europe and CIS may often be carried by road all the way. Rail carriage of abnormal loads is common throughout India, CIS and North America where many sites have rail spurs. Barges are widely used throughout Europe, CIS and North America.

Fastship UK Ltd provide a full range of on site services including:
- pre-shipment inspections;
- site surveys;
- export preparations;
- crane and lifting equipment hire;
- jacking and skidding operations;
- machinery removals and installations;
- container loading / stuffing / de-vanning;
- opentop / flatrack loading, rigging and securing;
- on site supervision and operational co-ordination.
