Handling
Our offices are based in the ports of Luebeck and Rostock, which are Europes´ most important handling areas in the Baltic for traffic, from and to Finland, Russia and the Baltic states. In co-operation with the Luebecker Hafen-Gesellschaft mbH and PLU Papier-Lager- and Umschlagsgesellschaft mbH in Rostock we can ensure, that the right equipment for handling any type of goods is permanently available.
The main focus is on the handling of forest products, carried out with dedicated equipment matching the demands of our customers. Equipped with the most modern fork-lift vehicles and clamp technology, we are able to handle paper reels with a width up to 4.30 m and weight up to 7 tons.
We are also superbly equipped for the handling of bulk goods, general cargo of all kinds, trailers and HGV Ro-Ro traffic and combined loading.
Constant monitoring of all handling and loading by independent surveyors ensures the safe and secure handling of goods entrusted to us

Storage facilities
The most important requirements for all storage areas as well as the port facility itself include:
- clean and dry surface areas;
- level floors in warehouses;
- no dramatic temperature changes in halls;
- complete fire protection in warehouses.

Transport
We have been entrusted with the planning, organization and transport of high value goods for over 30 years.
In accordance with our customers wishes we transport goods by road, rail and combined traffic. We have a broad network available of reliable partners that have been working with us for many years.
Destinations in Germany and in far flung parts of Europe are served by us daily with complete and part loads. France, Benelux, Italy, Austria and Switzerland are our main destinations in Western Europe. Transports from and to Russia, the Baltic States and Eastern Europe are reliably carried out at any time
We load block-trains on a daily basis with mixed trains for Germany, Switzerland and Italy. Short lead times and significant cost savings are the major advantages of block-trains. Safe and secure loading is underlined at ECL GmbH. Well trained loading personnel and constant monitoring ensure the adherence to loading procedures.
