We can offer our clients a complete list of services:
a. transport:
- inland navigation is a transportation of goods from Holland to various others countries. We can offer a so called ''all-in'' tariff which includes barging to Nijmegen or Rotterdam/Antwerp, transhipments of the goods and sea transport;
- tugs and push boats;
b. storage: Daanen Shipping & Logistics has various storage possibilities to offer amongst others: 2 sheds and a storage yard.
c. transshipment: For all your transshipments Daanen Shipping & Logistics has various options : we have our own quay at your disposal.
d. survey:
As sworn surveyors we can offer all kinds of surveys such as
- tank survey;
- taking samples;
- measuring tankers inside;
- measuring storage tanks;
- vegetable oils;
- animal fat;
- cubic capacity measuring;
- gauging;
- coasters (draft survey).
e. pontoons: For special cargoes, for which hardly any ships can be found, we use pontoons. These can be sub-divided as follows:
- ro-ro pontoon: These are used for loading heavy pieces at places without possibilities to use cranes for loading and discharging. Roro means roll on - roll off. The heavy pieces are drive on board via the hydrolic ramp and drive off at the destination;
- pontoon with 'spud poles': These are used in places without any mooring facilities. two long poles (spuds) are mounted to the pontoon (fore and aft) Via two 'holes' these poles are driven into the river bed and as such secure the pontoon at its berth;
- drive-in pontoon: These pontoons are usually used for loading extreme high structures thus reducing the total height for passing the fixed bridges on the river- and canal system;
- seaworthy pontoon: These are fitted for sea transport and must comply with all international demands and classifications. They are usually very high;
f. head barge: Daanen Shipping & Logistics also own two 'head barges' equipped with bow thruster. These are at this stage used to transport newbuilding hulls/pushbarges etc. on the river Main.
e. tugboat: Since 1999 we operate our own tug- pushboat ''Daan''. After a few changes like electric winches this vessel is now capable to both tow and push.
