Chartering
A dedicated department at our Rotterdam head office, supported by our overseas offices worldwide, is monitoring vessels positions on a daily basis to meet our customers shipping requirements.
We act as brokers or charterers agents for full- and or part loads of break bulk, bulk and project cargoes.
Steinweg Maritime Services, Hong Kong is specialized in bulk cargoes on the Asian market, Steinweg offices in South America are arranging on a daily basis shipments of non ferrous and soft commodities to destinations around the world, whereas Antwerp has a department specialized in project cargoes.
Rotterdam is very much involved in arranging shipping opportunities from Russia and the Baltic States to various destinations around the world and from the South American continent to Asia, Europe and North America.
Forwarding
Through our worldwide network of offices, we can offer door-to-door shipments from
almost everywhere to any destination of your choice, they all have close relations with
shipping lines, trucking companies, railway companies, airfreight agents etc. allowing a
choice of the most cost effective means of transport, whether you need to ship one drum,
a full container load, multiple container loads or break bulk cargo (conventional).
Stevedoring
Loading and unloading of vessels is an activity we can arrange world wide at our own facilities or through arrangements with the local port authorities / operators.
We operate our own stevedoring terminals in Antwerp, Baltimore, Genoa, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Singapore and Trieste having access to our own berths, with warehouses either alongside or in the vicinity allowing covered or open-air storage.

Stevedoring of Bulk-, Project-cargo and/or Containers can be arranged through local
contacts or affiliated Companies.
Warehousing
One of our core activities is warehousing of a variety of commodities.
Many of our warehouses are approved for the storage of commodities traded on the 'London Metal Exchange' (LME), 'London Finance Futures and Options Exchange' (LIFFE), the 'Shanghai Futures Exchange' (ShFE), the 'Singapore Commodity Exchange'(Sicom) and by the 'Minor Metals Trade Association' (MMTA), whereas others are specifically suited for storage of specific commodities, such as temperature/humidity controlled
spaces, high security vaults etc.
