Planning your move
Our company ethos dictates that any move is only as good as the level of information and instruction provided, to that end, a BCL Account Manager would be fully involved in the pre-planning of you relocation. They will identify all personnel who are moving and discuss the pre-move plans before undertaking a full Risk Assessment.

Office relocation
Prior to the commencement of any relocation our representative would inspect all sites involved and arrange for the protection of all access points and other major risk areas to ensure no damage whatsoever occurs during the removal. Materials used include, Nomafoam profiles to protect protruding edges, Correx to protect awkward shapes, thick quilted covers to protect lifts and doors and hardboard or plywood to protect floors. Following the relocation your site supervisor will check that all items have been correctly located as per the plans and remove all décor protection.

Project and move management
BCL has a number of experienced project managers, each of our clients is given a dedicated project manager who will go through the planning process with them, holding regular meetings to review the project and update work schedules. During major relocations it will be necessary to undertake some contingency planning, and review work schedules regularly.

Specialist transportation of IT equipment
Each piece of IT equipment will be individually wrapped in anti-static bubble bags, and placed into a specially designed computer carton which is then sealed and identified with a corresponding label. If required BCL can provide a total IT relocation service including decommissioning and re-commissioning in conjunction with your own IT team.

Archival filing storage & confidential document destruction
With office space at a premium and increasing statutory requirements to retain documents and data, efficient storage and archiving presents a problem to every successful business. Each carton is issued with an unique identification number which is electronically linked to our computer tracking system. The use of such cartons in a uniform manner within the storage system ensures that the available space is used to its maximum benefit.

Containerised and conventional storage
If your new office is not ready or your plans are undecided, you may choose to place your effects in safe storage. In such circumstances your specified objects, furniture and equipment will be loaded into specially designed, numbered storage containers and placed at one of our purpose-built, secure warehouses. BCL have some of the finest furniture storage facilities across the UK, each of which is designed to minimize handling and keep your goods clean, dry and secure.
