Warehousing
At our 100 – acre site in Widnes, Cheshire we operate over 750,000 sq ft of modern warehousing, with units varying in size between 5000 and 150,000 sq ft.
We are used to dealing with all types of warehousing / handling requests and have acquired a considerable amount of expertise in furnishing individual customers’ needs. The range of industries served includes, Food and Drinks, Pharmaceuticals, Clothing, Toys, Sports Goods, Automotive Parts, Lube Oils, Chemicals and Construction Engineering .

Rail freight services
Widnes International Rail Freight Terminal (WIRFT), owned and operated by AHC, was opened in 1999 and is accessible to any UK or International Rail operator. It is also open to Intermodal Operators who require lifting and storage of tank and shipping container units transported by road.
The range of services available at the Terminal includes:
- two 450 metre long rail tracks used primarily for intermodal handling.
- two 350 metre long rail tracks directly adjacent to 150,000 sq ft Customs Bonded warehousing with access to a further 450,000 sq ft of warehousing.
- two 45 Te Top and Bottom Lift container handlers.
- a storage area for up to 750 TEU’s
- SACTFF Approval – Security Assured Channel Tunnel Freight Forwarder
- multiple camera CCTV, passive infra-red electronic security system and 24 hr, 365 days a year on site security officers.
- access to AHC’s own transport fleet for road haulage throughout the North West and beyond.
- Public Weighbridge facility.

Road services
AHC operates a fleet of 25 articulated vehicles with 50 trailers of various designs. We aim to optimise the load carrying capacity according to customers’ requirements and package/unit size.

Packaging
As a supplier of contract packing we offer the following services:
- shrink-wrapping;
- L sealing;
- trayless and multi pack sleeving;
- automatic can and bottle labelers;
- tray erectors;
- inkjet coders;
- clean room facilities..
We also specialise in hand assembly and promotional work.
